Key West Excursion

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is proud to announce it's first exclusive tour on Wednesday, July 17th, to two of South Florida's most valuable piees of history! The adventure will begin with a coach ride from the museum at 7:00am, and head to Key West. While in Key West, we will stop at President Truman's Little White House and the Flagler Station Overseas Railway Museum. We will provide breakfast at McDonalds on the way. Once in Key West, you are welcome to join the guided tours or explore on your own. The entire trip will be narrated by tour guide Juan Riera, who has 20 years of experience in South Florida.

Tour Date & Time: Wednesday, July 17th at 7:00 AM - 8:30 PM.

Cost: $50 per person. Includes transportation, breakfast, and admission to both venues.

Looking for Train Crew

We are looking for volunteers who want to run our equipment. We will train you from the ground up, and as you progress, you will learn different positions on the crew. If you're interested, please email Tom Flanary at Webmaster(at)gcrm.org or stop by the museum and tell them you want to volunteer on the train! No time committment is required, and we welcome volunteers of all ages!

The NASA Rebuild

One of our board members, Tom Flanary, has begun work with a few other volunteers on NASA No. 1, an Alco Locomotive. Our beloved locomotive is in need of your help! We need donors of money or time, to help in this effort. The entire rebuild is expected to take approximately 1 year, with the work first starting on the steel exterior. December Speaker of the Month

Our free speaker of the month program resumes on Saturday, December 22nd, at 1pm in the lounge car at the Museum. We will welcome Juan L. Riera who has extensive background on Florida history topics. His talk will be titled, “Treasures, Pirates, and Ship Wrecks of South Florida.” We are offering our Kid's Caboose Club concurrent with this event, so that you can drop your kids off and enjoy a few hours learning about Pirates.
